New York Times Takes a Swipe at Piper Palin
No child of Sarah Palin's is apparently off limits.
In the press galleries at the convention, journalists wrinkled their noses in disgust when Piper, Ms. Palin's youngest daughter, was filmed kitty-licking her baby brother's hair into place. But to many Americans - including some I talked to in the convention hall - that looked like family church on Sunday, evidence of good breeding and sibling regard.
Golly, all us people in the real world thought Piper was adorable and mimicking motherly instincts, but the NYT can't even let a cute kid alone when it comes to the Palin family.

More Morons Slam Palin
You'd expect a little more from a web site that calls itself The Intelligence Daily but don't.

Writer William Fisher takes Sarah Palin to task because while running for the Governor of Alaska, she provided the answers below to the question also below:
"In relationship to families, what are your top three priorities if elected governor?"

This was Sarah Palin's response:

"1) Creating an atmosphere where parents feel welcome to choose the venues of education for their children; 2) Preserving the definition of "marriage" as defined in our constitution, and 3) Cracking down on the things that harm family life: gangs, drug use, and infringement of our liberties including attacks on our 2nd Amendment rights."
Good ole Bill then informs his readers (getting his numbers mixed up while he does it) that everyone should really worry about Sarah Palin because
It should worry us because the word 'marriage' never appears anywhere in our Constitution.
What Bill fails to put together was that Sarah Palin was running for Governor of the State of Alaska; hence her answers applied to Alaska (fancy that).

Alaska, like every other state, has its own Constitution and does indeed, like many state constitutions, address "marriage".
ยง 25. Marriage

To be valid or recognized in this State, a marriage may exist only between one man and one woman. [Amended 1998]
Many states have taken to defining "man" and "woman" in their Constitutions because of stupid decisions by activist Judges who determine to redefine words we all have understood for years.

Folks if you want to disparage someone, at least gather your facts and think just a little bit before you write and show everyone else just how unintelligent you are.

Sarah Palin: Andrew Sullivan Keeps Getting it Wrong
Andrew Sullivan of The Atlantic and writer of "The Daily Dish" needs to get a new dish because the one he's writing is full of garbage and untruths.

Yesterday's untruth is about Sarah Palin's religious persuasions. Before that, Andrew Sullivan was breathlessly announcing her political party affiliations - incorrectly also.

US Weekly Resorts to Begging
Michelle Malkin provides a reply email to a reader from US Weekly after the reader writes to cancel their subscription. They then refuse to cancel her subscription until the reader writes again (after supposedly reading the story) to confirm her cancellation!

This is rich. US Weekly defames Sarah Palin on the cover of its magazine and then, like the Fox News interview with Megyn Kelly, encourages readers to read the "fair and balanced" story within the pages of this rag. Gotta hope this reader and every other one tells US Weekly where to stick their trash tabloid.

US Weekly needs to run a cover apologizing to Sarah Palin and her family and admitting their cover was inappropriate and totally out of line. Maybe then they can run a story about why Sarah Palin loves her husband (sort of like the fluff piece they ran on why Barack Obama loves Michelle).

How Much did it Cost US Weekly?
Hope it was worth it US Weekly!
Us Weekly, which unlike People and OK!, chose a rather caustic cover line ("Babies, Lies and Scandal") is said to have lost thousands of subscribers in just the first 24 hours following the printing of the issue.
Couldn't happen to a worse tabloid. That's what happens when you go so far into the tank with Obama that you can't even fairly represent someone else.

Now, wonder what the blacklash will be against Oprah.
Fri Sep 05 2008 08:55:46 ET

Oprah Winfrey may have introduced Democrat Barack Obama to the women of America -- but the talkshow queen is not rushing to embrace the first woman on a Republican presidential ticket!

Oprah's staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

"Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on," an insider explains. "Oprah's website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama."

UPDATEThere's now a web site to Boycott US Weekly

Also note that MSNBC has updated their story to note that many subscribers have not even received their copy of this week's trash and therefore, many "unsubscribes" may still be on the way. Couldn't happen to a better trashy tabloid. BTW, the scum bags have turned the comments section back on for those of you who might want to share a few words with them. May the demise of US Weekly remind all those who publish that American readers prefer facts to tabloid trash claims.

The Unrelenting Investigation of Sarah Palin
Bless the AP, they simply had to announce that Sarah Palin wowed the crowd last night, but they can't just allow that to be their report. Nope. The AP has to quickly turn their "report" into snarking, making it sound like the only questions asked about Palin this week (which according to the AP makes her "embattled" and "welding a stiletto") were simply legitimate questions that would be asked of any candidate.
One speech does not a campaign make. Kept at arm's length from the media in the days leading up to the address, Palin now heads out on the campaign trail, where events are less rehearsed, crowds less friendly and the environment less controlled. Even as she spoke, airplanes in Alaska were unloading reporters and political operatives sent to pore through her personal and public life.
Ah yes, the planeloads of reporters out to investigate the VP candidate who the press continues to insist wasn't well vetted by the McCain campaign - though the McCain campaign contends and has offered proof otherwise.

It's strange that those same planeloads of reporters never landed in Chicago or Scranton. It's strange that they never felt that Barack Obama needed a little vetting. And from the MSM we heard nothing about Biden's plagiarism - a charge far more serious than a pregnant 17 daughter who makes her own choices.

Who's Smearing Whom?
Told that his team was involved in the mega load of smears actively circulated about Sarah Palin, Barack Obama went straight into denial mode. The New York Post documents the start and spread of those smears which of course does include Team Obama and Jann Wenner, a big-time Obama donor and Chief of Warner Media - who puts out the trash magazine, US Weekly. This is the same trash tabloid that has fawned and gushed over Michelle and Barack Obama unrelentingly over the months and the same trash tabloid that smeared Sarah Palin with it's cover this week.

US Weekly Editor Speaks
The US Weekly Editor, Bradley Jacobs, is interviewed by FoxNews' Megayn Kelly about the despicable cover on the US Weekly magazine this week.

Let's start with his final words - that he hopes we will read the story. Not a chance buddy! Not a chance that I will ever purchase your magazine again!

Now the juicy stuff: The lies? What are the lies? Well the lies are the lies told about Sarah Palin concerning Trig's birth!

Somehow this dirty bag editor can then say with a straight face that he thinks his story is "fair and balanced"; but he doesn't want to answer whether the cover is "fair and balanced" with it's screaming headline.

Kelly also calls Jacobs to task about mentioning Mr. Palin's DUI arrest without informing people that this arrest was 22 years ago.

Jacobs attempts to defend his magazine's hatchet job by stating that it's a breaking news story. Yeah okay, but how about you get the real facts next time Jacobs before you "break the news".

US Weekly lost a bunch of readers today and generated a new low for tabloid journalism!

*I* Am Sarah Palin!
Anyone attacking Sarah Palin is attacking me. Her story is my story. I am woman, hear me roar! Sarah Palin actually represents my views. She's a woman like me. More over she's accomplished even more than me. She's managed a home, a husband and a family while working and serving her country.

Sarah Palin not only believes in the sanctity of life but lives it when the hard choices face her. I can only hope that in her position, I would do the same. I'm so sick of politicians such as Al Gore telling us not to drive our SUVs while arriving at his speech in none other than an SUV. Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air! She provides true meaning to the empty words of "hope" and "change" that Barack Obama tosses about.

I am a mother, a wife, a believer in Jesus Christ and a person who believes in personal responsibility for my own actions. I am strong and outspoken. Yes, *I* am Sarah Palin.
"The media has done more for John McCain in the last two days than he's done for himself in the last year and a half," DeLay said. "Trashing her is waking up the sleeping giant, and the sleeping giant is Republican women."

McCain Camp to Fight Back
Good for them. The McCain camp will be releasing ads comparing Sarah Palin's experience with Barack Obama. That will probably further anger the left, but at least the truth will get out.
Governor Sarah Palin is an exceptional governor with a record of accomplishment that exceeds, by far, the governing accomplishments of Sen. Obama. Her selection cam after a six-month long rigorous vetting process where her extraordinary credentials and exceptionalism became clear.
This vetting controversy is a faux media scandal designed to destroy the first female Republican nominee for vice president of the United States who has never been a part of the old boys' network that has come to dominate the news establishment in this country. Sen. McCain picked his governing partner after a long and thorough search. Gov. Palin looks forward to addressing the nation and laying out the fundamental choice this election represents for the American people.
Just who does the MSM think they are to comment on what the McCain campaign did or didn't do in the vetting process? They don't know what they did - only who they didn't "talk" with.

The smears and allegations against Sarah Palin are beyond belief and make the biased coverage in favor of Obama over Hillary look tame by comparison. It's impossible to even keep up with them all and even when disproved, some MSM continue to repeat them anyway. It's hand to think of anything in recent times that has so angered the left.

Gotta love the Sally Quinn stupidity remarks that say it's okay to hold public office if you have 2 or 3 kids, but not five, especially if one is a down syndrome baby!

Then there's the "slashed funding" for pregnant girls that turns out to be none other than an increase to Covenant House which provides services to all wayward teens.
