Collegiate Kitty
We don't have anything nice to say about the world today so we will enjoy the beautiful fall breaking out all over and encourage you to do the same. We leave you with one of those cute cat photos. If he doesn't make you smile at least a little, nothing will.

Katablogging
IMAO is talking about "Catablogging" so we thought we'd show them what Katablogging is all about! First up is Gizmo as a kitten, a Persian.

Second up is the star of Katablog, Mr. Cowkitty himself.

And lastly (for this blog) is Bart, the senior of the group..

Cowkitty and Bart are both Exotics - basically short-haired Persians. In addition, Mr. Cowkitty is the father of Gizmo.

These guys are the one and only reason I am sad when we travel - I miss each one, Bart between hubby's and my head each night, Gizmo (also known as "Little Boy" at the center of my back and Mr. CowKitty between my legs.

Now there's a Katablog!

Masters of the House
Cow KittyAnyone with cats know they are indeed the masters of the home. Humans are our servants and dogs something to disdain. This is one of my favorite positions for sleeping since it allows me to catch a nap cow kittywhile still being adorable. Anyone passing can't resist reaching down and scrubbing my belly. Of course I also need to keep my tan so I also make sure I take a nap in the plant window everyday. They say sunshine is good for the health. My owners don't allow me out so I have to catch the rays when and where I can. I use to get deck privileges but alas I lost those privileges when I started jumping up and walking the rails. Guess the owners thought I gizmowas suicidal or something.

Today I invite you to meet my house buddies. First there is my son, Gizmo. Well at least that's what the people say. I say he doesn't look a thing like me. And just where did he get all that fluff! That red cat doesn't look a thing like a cow kitty and he's a Persian, not a grand champion Exotic like me. Sometimes the owners cut all that fluffy off and then he looks like a lion, not a cow kitty. Gizmo use to be small, just right for beating the stuffings out. But now he's gotten big and turned on his poor old daddy. He's a feisty little bugger. He's also got a big fixature on straws. Give the kid a straw and he flips it all over the house, protectively carrying it in his mouth when he thinks I'm going to make a grab for it. Selfish little thing.

bartNext comes Bart. That's not his real name but it seems like no body remembers his real name anymore so he's just Bart. Bart is an Exotic like me - well not exactly like me since he lacks cow markings and he's not a grand champion. Bart is old and cranky with the likes of me but he sure likes to play up to people. Bart is black as the ace of spades but growing some white whiskers around his face. I love to harass him by blocking him off everywhere he tries to go. Unfortunately Bart spends most of his time sleeping and making "cutesy cat" with anyone who comes to visit. The rest of the time he's either avoiding me or trying to smack me. Ocassionally he spits out some bad words.

People find Bart friendly because he's such a suck up. I think someone forgot to tell him about "Stranger Danger". People can't be trusted. Bart does "tricks", the stupid idiot. He scratches on the scratching post for treats. Yuck. He also sits at the table each night for tidbits of food. People think that's so cute. You won't catch me doing tricks! I'm far too superior for that nonesense!

Fur Kids
Seems a few words are being officially added to the English language today. One is "Bling-Bling", reference to gaudy jewelry. But the best of them all is "Fur Kids"! Finally us animals are being recognized for what we really are. We are obtaining status. Hold on folks, Fur Kids will one day rule the world! (Well, we already do, you all just don't admit it out loud.

Excerpts From a Cat's Daily Diary:
Day 183 of My Captivity: My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture.Tomorrow I may eat another house plant. Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded; must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair, must try this on their bed. Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was. Hmmm, not working according to plan. There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More importantly, I overheard that my confinement was due to my power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage. I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant, he speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the high metal room, his safety is assured. But I can wait, it is only a matter of time ....
