![]() A Silent Media
![]() Two black teens beat a 50 year old white male with a hammer. The media stays silent. Obama has yet to come forward and indicate the victim might be a relative he never had There are no schools encouraging their students to protest. No member of congress has demonstrated on the house floor. Wonder why.

![]() Taxpayers Dodge Bullet?
![]() It's got to be fun to be able to gamble with other people's money. It certainly changes how much and on what a person is willing to place bet. In this case, Barack Hussein Obama once again placed a failed bet on solar energy with $2 billion of taxpayer money.
(Reuters) - Solar Trust of America LLC, which holds the development rights for the world's largest solar power project, on Monday filed for bankruptcy protection after its majority owner began insolvency proceedings in Germany.Solar Trust of America is estimated to only have $10 million in assets while its debt ranges in the $50 to $100 million category. The company was offered a $2.1 billion loan guarantee last year by the Department of Energy Secretary, Steven Chu. Fortunately for taxpayers it appears Solar Trust of America did NOT get the loan guarantee. Some news stories have Solar Trust turning the loan down after its approval; and some stories indicate that Solar Trust didn't meet the timeline required. Let's hope one of the other is true and that $2 billion of the taxpayers' money is not on the line for this failed solar company. ![]() Read more | comments

![]() NBC Race-Baiting Trayvon Martin
![]() We were traveling when the Trayvon Martin story broke and we only heard snippets of the story. What we did hear was the NBC version of the conversation between the police dispatcher and George Zimmerman, the night watchman. We were under the belief from the NBC story that Trayvon was between 10 and 12, a little boy, walking home at night from the story. I particularly keyed in on this part of the conversation played by NBC.
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he's up to no good. He looks black. It indited Zimmerman in my book. It sounded very racist. Over the days we learned that a lot more went down; that Trayvon was 17, and over 6 ft. Then we finally heard about the beating Zimmerman took from Trayvon and knew there was more to the story, but those words still rung in my head. Now we learn that NBC purposefully altered the dispatch tape when playing it for their audience; and this altered conversation was played throughout the USA. Here is the real conversation without NBC's race-baiting: Zimmerman: This guy looks like he's up to no good. Or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about. No racism there. Yet we have groups calling for the death of watchman George Zimmerman to the point he has gone into hiding. We have the President of the USA weighing in to say Trayvon would be the son he never had. We have a US Congressman showing up on the floor with a hoodie, and schools demonstrating with the children wearing hoodies and flashing Skittles. Media doesn't seem to be alarmed that there are death threats to Zimmerman. The US President hasn't bothered to weigh in on that aspect either. No demonstrations for Zimmerman on the House floor; no school demonstrations either. Most of all, where is the outrage that a national "news" channel would participate in devious race-baiting rather than simply reporting actual news? ![]() Read more | comments

![]() Expect to Read This Story in the News?
![]() After the coverage of Trayvon Martin, which had some of us believing with first details that a security guard shot a 10-12 year old without provocation (which of course was not what really happened)- wonder how much news we will get about this story.

![]() Solyndra Destroying New Glass Tubes
![]() Now just why are US taxpayers paying for Solyndra employees to crush new glass tubes that cost over $2 million? The bankruptcy judge agreed to the tube destruction after being told it would cost more than they were worth to store the tubes.
However, the bankruptcy trustee never listed the tubes on the asset list therefore no one was able to provide a bid to purchase them at auction. Oh well, it was just taxpayers' money. ![]() Read more | comments

![]() Another Obama Passes Blame
![]() Barack Hussein Obama is well known for his "blame Bush" syndrome. The economy is bad, blame Bush. Unemployment is high, blame Bush. Apparently the "blame" syndrome runs in the family.
Barry's uncle, illegally in the USA (just like his aunt) was stopped for drunk driving last August. His breathalyzer registered .14 against the legal limit of .08. His defense will now be that the policeman who stopped him was speeding and that's why he was caught! This family seems allergic to taking responsibility for their own actions. ![]() Read more | comments

![]() Federal Grant to Gaming Industry
![]() Supposedly the federal government is looking for ways to cut the deficit. I wonder how many of these easy cuts we could find.
The federal government has awarded $500,000 to the fledgling Massachusetts Digital Games Institute at Becker College to help develop its program for people interested in the digital games industry and associated software technologies.WTF? The US taxpayers have half a million dollars to throw at the gaming industry? Half-a-million here and half-a-million there may seem "small" to the US Government who deals in trillion dollar deficits, but that's a bunch of money to the US taxpayers that have to fork it over! Then There's Green Jobs Here we are throwing BIG amounts of taxpayers hard earned money and not getting much for it! The Department of Energy is set on Thursday to announce whether nine federal loan guarantees amounting to $6.5 billion for green energy projects will get final approval.$23 million PER job? I suppose Timmy Tax Cheat will tell us again what a bargain that is! Funny how when you spend other peoples' money, it feels more like a bargain than when it came out of your pocket. ![]() Read more | comments

![]() U.S. Post Office Insolvent Next Month
![]() Another casualty of a government run "business", the US Postal Service. Joining Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the "losers" category, the US Postal Service wants to cut 120,000 jobs and quit the very generous federal employee health and retirement program.
In a notice to employees informing them of its proposals, with the headline "Financial crisis calls for significant actions," the Postal Service said "we will be insolvent next month due to significant declines in mail volume and retiree health benefit prefunding costs imposed by Congress."Businesses that survive technology learn to adapt to changes in consumer demands. USPS didn't. It's been milking taxpayers billions of dollars for several years just to stay up and running. Increased stamp prices no longer can make a mark on the deficit this agency runs, having lost $3 billion in only one quarter and $8.5 billion last year! Unfortunately, because they are government run, you can bet that the Post Master General's generous salary and benefit package won't be on the cutting room floor. It's reported that at least 4 other USPS employees make more than $250,000 compensation in 2008. Only in America do billion dollars grow on trees for failed US agencies. And now Obama wants to consider taking over foreclosed homes and turning them into rentals! What could go wrong? ![]() Read more | comments

![]() US Credit Downgraded
![]() Obama got the debt ceiling raised and immediately started spending. US Taxpayers didn't fare too well. As soon as markets closed on Friday, Standard & Poor downgraded the US credit rating for the first time ever from AAA to AA+. It seems the S&P wasn't too impressed with the US giving Obama $2.4 trillion more to spend immediately while stating that Congress would find $2.4 trillion in cuts over 10 years. The S&P didn't believe the cuts part any more than the American people did.
Recall that as late as April (a mere 4 months ago, Tax Cheat Tim Geithner, Secretary of the Treasury, told us the US credit rating was not at risk. The downgrade news was followed with news that Fannie Mae, who has already received $104 billion of taxpayer money, is asking for $5.1 billion more. Don't expect that to be the last request from Fannie as Fannie admits the efforts by the US government to refinance underwater mortgages isn't going too well. Ah and while we are talking about sucking from the government teat, the US Postal service warns that it probably will default on payments due the government to cover retirement obligations. The US Postal Service has managed to lose $3 billion between April and June (note that none of the higher echelon's huge salaries have been decreased). Nothing like a Friday night dump of BAD news. Eric Cantor gives the Wall Street Journal a pretty good summary of what's gone awry in America: The "philosophical starting point" of today's Democrats, as Mr. Cantor sees it, is that they "believe in a welfare state before they believe in capitalism. They promote economic programs of redistribution to close the gap of the disparity between the classes. That's what they're about: redistributive politics." The Virginian's contempt is obvious in his Tidewater drawl. "The assumption . . . is that there is some kind of perpetual engine of economic prosperity in America that is going to just continue. And therefore they are able to take from those who create and give to those who don't. We just have a fundamentally different view."The perpetual money engine has a very bad sputter attack with much of its power now out of work. The US "benefits" programs entice people NOT to work, while those who create jobs (businesses) have little to no incentive to put their capital at risk. The ObamaCare freight train is speeding down the track, the EPA and US Government continue instituting business killing regulations and consistently ask for more, more, more of possible profits. ![]() Read more | comments
