![]() The Manufacturing of a Racist Tea Party
![]() Pajamas Media has the story of a video made by Think Progress proclaiming the Tea Party as racist.
Problem is, the main stream news media (and apparently the NAACP) hasn't bothered to investigate the video for truthfulness. Pajamas Media did. The video takes a statement out of context, grabs quotes from "Crash the Tea Party" participants and even selects a "participant" from a 2006 (long before the Tea Party existed) demonstration against illegals. All this to manufacture the claim that the Tea Party is racist, because of course if they'd been able to get real tea party participants to say racist things, they wouldn't need this manufactured video. ![]() Read more | comments

![]() Violent Tea Parties
![]() The in the tank news media over and over describes tea party attendees as violent. The Barack Hussein Obama administration was so frightened of Grandma and Grandpa sitting in their lawn chairs last week in Quincy, IL, that they had to call out the troops in full riot gear.
Today there was yet another protest. Let's see if you get this protest on your evening news with descriptions of violence. SANTA CRUZ - A large group of protesters demonstrating at a May Day rally for worker's and immigrant rights downtown broke off into a riot vandalizing about a dozen businesses around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police said. The protest included businesses with broken windows and signs promoting anarchy. This from those who support illegals being allowed to stay in the country without any retribution! ![]() Read more | comments

![]() Riot Police
![]() Gotta wonder why riot police had their time (and the expense to the taxpayers) wasted for the Quincy, IL Tea Party. Obama was speaking near by, but no tea party has ever required the use of riot police before. In fact, the cops look rather sheepish to me. Those two elderly people sitting in chairs do look rather violent, don't they?

![]() Coffee Party Hates Tea Parties
![]() Newsweek brings us the story of how Annabel Park started the Coffee Party movement, as a counter balance to what Newsweek terms the "angry rhetoric and accusations of the Tea Partiers". So she sets up her Coffee Party (in conjunction with others around the nation)in a Washington DC cafe only to be met by a bunch of very angry, over-hyped attendees. Not one of them were Republican, but one thing was clear: they hated Tea Parties.
Having attended a number of Tea Parties myself - I'm not sure where the Media gets off reporting their false impressions. Yes, describing us as "angry" is correct in one sense - we are angry at the government usurping our freedoms, spending our money like water running through a sieve and totally ignoring our voices. But to walk amongst the crowd - you do not get the impression of "angry" or disagreeable people. I find them very friendly, very patriotic and very committed to taking our country back. We are Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and just about every other party imaginable. We don't "hate" anyone. We do "hate" some of the political actions such as: Passing a very failed $786 billion bailout; We also aren't so wild about our elected government and a lazy media making fun of us because we dare to stand up for these principles. Yes the Coffee Party has a right to stand up and be counted. But to make their sole purpose to drowned out the voices of the Tea Party is not even American! Remember, all people are created equal regardless of their race, religion or political beliefs. ![]() Read more | comments

![]() Government Motors Repays Loans
![]() GM was able to start paying back its loans. That must be a good thing, right? Well not so much!
A top Senate Republican on Thursday accused the Obama administration of misleading taxpayers about General Motors' loan repayment, saying the struggling auto giant was only able to repay its bailout money by dipping into a separate pot of bailout money.Actually it was the US Taxpayers that started paying back GM loans! ![]() Read more | comments

![]() Most Outrageous
![]() Huffington Post provides their list of most outrageous TEA party signs. I didn't look through every photo with a fine tooth comb, but of the 30 or so I viewed, I found absolutely nothing outrageous about these signs.

![]() ![]() CNN Biased (and Uninformed) Reporting
![]() Gotta love CNN's reporting on the TEA Parties.
Letting disgruntled citizens vent is important to national security, experts say, but some messages emanating from angry Americans in recent weeks have pressed the boundaries of free speech.I've got breaking news for CNN! Not only is "letting disgruntled citizens vent" important to national security; it's a legal right given to citizens by the US Constitution. For CNN reporters, I should explain that the US Constitution is that founding document of our nation that Barack Hussein Obama and the Congress have been stomping all over as they take over a private car company, bail out US Financial institutions, and force taxpayers to pay for other peoples' cars, weatherization and mortgages. Next, CNN goes on to remind readers of claimed racial slurs that no one except 3 black congressmen heard as they marched through protesters. (Note that at least 98% of TEA party attendees would be the first to step forward and denounce this type of behavior if they heard or saw it. We believe in the US Constitution which declares that all US Citizens have equal rights.) This was the day Nancy Pelosi and other democrats passed an unconstitutional (refer back to that founding document CNN people) law forcing US taxpayers to purchase medical insurance for themselves and those who can't afford it (including illegals). And though hundreds of video cameras (including one held by one of the black congressmen) were trained on the event, not one can come up with the racial slurs. Yesterday was the 5th TEA protest I've attended. The most threatening thing I saw or heard was a man and his wife who insisted on sitting in a seat that I had an extra sign resting on. I find the crowd polite, patriotic, mostly age 40 and over, and quite friendly. Yes, we are angry, but not with the anger that destroys property or sets buildings on fire after looting. Our anger is directed toward those who seem to believe an election gave them the right to carry out their will even when it differs from those who elected them to a representative position. We are angry that as we order our lives and finances for a bad economy, our representatives are spending our hard earned money to protect turtles crossing the road and build up airports with less than 500 passengers a day. We are angry that the US Constitution is totally ignored as the current administration goes about "redistributing the wealth" to those who sit on their butts and demand more. We are angry that the retirement which we planned and saved for all our working lives is now threatened because Congress and the President can't stop spending. Do these or these people look like people to fear? Are the signs they carry threatening? Well maybe if you are one of those spending our hard earned money - but are they violent, out of control? Look like they come from those who shout racial slurs or throw bricks? ![]() Read more | comments

![]() Kansas 2010 Tax Day TEA Party
![]() Here is the slide show from the Kansas 2010 Tax Day TEA Party from about 2:45 PM to about 5:15 PM. The party gathering was growing larger by the second as we left as attendees walked 3 to 5 blocks from parking to the stadium. I estimated the crowd at about 2,000 at 5:15 PM.
Several things really struck me about the crowd at the Kansas TEA Party (and the 9/12 TEA party in DC): The people tend to be age 40 and above, they are very patriotic (carrying flags, patriotic music) and for the most part, while these people are angry about what's happening to our country, they are friendly, polite, well mannered and can articulate their anger quite well. Note they are mature enough to direct their anger at the issues instead of just being violent and abusive toward anything that gets into their way. In my years on this earth, I've never seen "protests" like the TEA parties. The protest I've seen usually involve rock throwing, shouting and ugly, unpleasant demonstrations. UPDATE 04/16/2010 KansasCity.com can't seem to get their numbers correct. First a story where they estimate the crowd at 2,000. I know this is wrong since the crowd was at least 2,000 at about 5:15 PM and literally hundreds were just arriving. This is the time people were getting off work, had the kids picked up from school, etc. and the planned program of music and entertainment was just beginning. Next a story from the same entity that admits the stadium holds 6,500 and was 80% full (that would be a crowd size of over 5,000!). There were many people, like us, who came early and then left as the crowd size started to grow so we could make room for new arrivals and not get caught in the log-jam at the end of the TEA party. ![]() Read more | comments

![]() ![]() Happy T.E.A. Day, Proud to be a TeaBagger
![]() Today is just another day to many. Get up, go to work, pay taxes and help pay someone's mortgage, health care, bailout a car company or a financial institution. For others, it's a day to say something about being Taxed Enough Already as your Congress (you know those people paid to represent you) think up new ways to spend your hard earned dollars.
Later today or tomorrow, we will share pictures of the T.E.A. party in Kansas. Event: Kansas City Tea Party What: Rally Start Time: Thursday, April 15 at 3:00pm End Time: Thursday, April 15 at 9:00pm Where: Community America Ballpark, home to the Kansas City T-Bones Check our April 12th post for full details. Don't expect the main stream media to say much about it unless they can catch some Tea Party Crashers (they apparently don't pay taxes) disrupting T.E.A. parties to catch a little air time. ![]() Read more | comments
