War on Women - Part II
When you make a mistake that blows up in the media it's usually best to recognize your mistake and sincerely apologize - then move on to the next issue. Example: Rush Limbaugh's mistake of calling a women's activist a "slut". It blew over in a few days after Rush publicly apologized. Unfortunately, Owebama's supporters haven't learned that lesson yet.

Now president, Terry O'Neill doubled down on the Owebama campaign's war on women with
TERRY O'NEILL: What would we be saying if Hillary Clinton had said this: that Ann Romney has never, has not worked for pay outside the home a day in her life? That's my understanding that's an accurate statement, and that raises the exact issue that Hilary Rosen was trying to get to, which is do Mr. & Mrs. Romney have the kind of life experience and if not, the imagination, to really understand what most American families are going through right now? I think that that was what Hilary was getting out, and so she left out the words "for pay outside the home."
A couple of things just jump out with this statement: 1. Couples who choose to have a parent stay home with kids would argue that "pay" is not only financial remuneration. 2. Even Owebama with a Harvard law degree made a choice to be a Community Organizer (not a high paying position for most) instead of taking a high powered position in a highly recognized law firm. Isn't NOW about women's choices?

Ann Romney battles multiple sclerosis, battled cancer and has raised 5 children. How could she not be in touch with the realities of life and what families go through? Very few women have Ann's realities, but she certainly could understand the heavy burden of those that do. How could a mother raising 5 children not understand economic realities, working within a budget, time management, diplomacy, compromises, financial management, people management and rising prices?

Why on earth does or should it matter whether Ann Romney received a financial paycheck for her work. Many mothers would agree that Ann received something far more rewarding then a financial paycheck while raising 5 productive citizens. Her illnesses also lend life experience to costs of health care, making health care choices, managing a home and children while sick and fighting for life.

For the Owebama Campaign to suggest that his wife and children are "off base" for attacks, while his supporters attack Ann Romney is totally disingenuous. If we are to believe that Rush Limbaugh's comments are so outrageous that Owebama was led to call the person in question, should we wait for reports of Owebama calling Ann Romney?

Shouldn't Owebama silence his supports who are calling Ann Romney every nasty word known to man on Twitter if he wishes to convince us that what Rush Limbaugh said was so outrageous and declare his own family off base for attacks?

Spending Taxpayers' Money
Taxpayers should be aware that over $205,000 of their hard earned money was spent in San Francisco to move a shrub from the path of a planned highway renovation receiving over $1 billion in stimulus funds.

It started as workers began clearing for the highway path. Someone spotted a shrub that can be purchased for under $20; but this shrub was deemed to be special since it was "wild".
The $100,000 to pay for the "hard removal," the $79,470 to pay for the "establishment, nurturing and monitoring" of the plant for a decade after its "hard removal," and the $25,605 to cover the "reporting requirements" for the decade after the "hard removal," equaled a total cost of $205,075 for translocating this manzanita bush.
This time if Owebama blames a Bush, he'll actually be truthful.
