No, the contributors did nothing against the law. No, they aren't the same Mickey Mouse, Adolf Hitler and Donald Duck contributors that were documented as online donors to Barack Hussein Owebama's campaign in 2008. Romeny's donors were simply well to do American citizens who chose to donate money to Romney's campaign.

For that, the President of the USA, calls them out and suggests that they were "on the wrong side of the law", have "less-than-reputable records," and profit at the expense of Americans. (Of course when discussing expense to Americans, no mention was made of Michelle Obama's vacation to Spain that cost US taxpayers about $470,000).

These men are private citizens choosing to donate to the Romney campaign. For that they receive national attention, intimidation and are attacked even though they are not criminals and have no pending criminal or civil charges. From the office that controls the IRS, SEC, Justice Department, EPA and all sorts of other agencies that investigate private citizens comes a national intimidation campaign simply for donating to the man who challenges the office holder!
