Sometimes recently I think I'm having a dream or I've fallen into a black hole. It's the dichotomy in the Obama Administration.

First Obama worries about the rights of illegals wandering the streets of Arizona. He doesn't want some illegal going out for ice cream with his kids and getting stopped and asked for documents to prove he's here legally.

But out of the other side of his mouth, Obama supports that all US mortgage brokers must register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry which includes fingerprinting! This is disguised as the "Safe Act" and supposedly needed because of the recent collapse of the mortgage markets. Why? Did any mortgage brokers go missing? What would these fingerprints provide? Who touched the mortgage document last?

And to add another strange note, look at the financial reform act which exempts the SEC (Securities & Exchange Commission) from having to disclose anything to the public! Yet Obama claims that it will "increase transparency in financial dealings."

U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton temporarily blocked a good portion of Arizona's immigration law from going into effect. The portions blocked include: 1) Officers being required to ask immigration status of anyone suspected of being illegal when the lawfully stop someone. 2) The section making it a crime not to carry papers showing lawful entry into the United States by non-citizens.

Of course the Mexican President was elated since he's fought to make US law allow all Mexicans anytime they wish to drop by the USA and stay.

The really sad thing is that Judge Bolton admitted

"Even though Arizona's interests may be consistent with those of the federal government, it is not in the public interest for Arizona to enforce preempted laws."

Hmmmm, which public? The illegal public or the legal citizens of the United States of America?

It IS in the interest of US Citizens to force the Federal Government enforce the law.
