Senator Jeff Sessions: Don't Send Another Dime
Yesterday we published a video of Senator Jeff Sessions at the budget committee meeting that the majority of Democrat committee members didn't bother to attend. Today is a clip of Sessions on the Senate floor, advising that it's the Senates statutory duty to pass a budget every year; yet, for 3 1/2 years, they haven't bothered. Transcript from Right Scoop
"I can't imagine that they would want to go to the American people and ask for higher taxes when they refuse to comply with the plain statutory law that says they should have a budget to tell where that money is going to be spent. If you won't tell the American people where you're going to spend the money, how much debt you're going to run up, how much spending you're going to cut or not cut, then I don't think the American people ought to send another dime to this place. Not another dime!"
What's very telling about government is that no one has filed any type of charges on the senate or it's majority leader, Harry Reid for failing to do as charged by law. Each Senator continues to enjoy his/her paycheck courtesy of the US taxpayer without any deductions for not fulfilling their duties as elected senators. However, taxpayers can expect fairly immediate response (at least within 3 years) for not bothering to send in their tax money.
