We often discuss the $16.4 Trillion debt wracked up by the United States Government. Perhaps this information will bring it a little closer to home.

The new federal debt accumulated in Obama's first term equaled approximately $50,521 for each of household in the country.

That means that each household now owes $142,997 for the bills incurred by the US Government in addition to their own personal debt.

Now think about the real US median household income which is $50,054 for 2012, down from $62,273 in 2010 and 2011. Yep, the average household lost $12,000 in earnings while taking on $50,000 more in government created debt!
