It seems rather unbelievable after we've seen just how sick John Mark Karr is to read that CA Prosecutors have offered Karr a deal that could set him free on probation to molest more little children.

Karr, a schoolteacher, was arrested Aug. 16 after making phone calls and writing e-mails suggesting he killed Ramsey, a 6-year-old beauty queen, in her Boulder, Colo., home in December 1996. He was returned to the U.S. from Thailand only to have the Ramsey case collapse.

Is this really for the public good?

Karr's defense lawyer, Robert Amparan says:

the public had received a "false picture" of Karr, whom he described as a "Southern gentleman with a sense of humor."

Yeah right. Is it humorous to contact a woman dying of cancer and make claims about her murdered daughter? That's certainly not my brand of humor. And where I come from "gentlemen" (southern or not) don't rape little girls and collect their nude pictures on their computer.
